Finalists NRHA Open Futurity decided

30/11/2023 – The semi-finals of the NRHA Open Futurity for 3-years-old have been concluded yesterday in Oklahoma City (USA). The field of finalists is set and can be consulted visiting www.showmanager.info.
In this post we look back at the preliminaries and semi-finals with the focus on ‘our’ Anne Grether. Anne colored the field of entries for the semi-finals pretty orange by qualifying with Dejavu All Overagain [Smart Spook] owned by RS Reining Horses BV with a great performance for both the L4-, L3-, L2- and L1 semi-finals. In the semi-finals, unfortunately a dream was shattered. The spins were fine, above average, but on the first set of circles it went just wrong. Giving up is no option once you become that far and Anne finished her performance in great style. The possibility of advancing to the finals was already out of side, but Anne definitely rode for it. Anne: “He was just so cool, and then suddenly such a mega kick out of the blue, he even lost his way himself because of that. Of course I am sick of it because we were really part of the game, but I am also very happy that I was given this opportunity. I think I have to ‘practice’ a little more for the Derby haha.”
The NRHA Open Futurity finals are scheduled for Saturday December 2.
