Siebe van Bekhoven at NHRA Top Ten world rankings
8 January 202508/01/2025 – After an eventful competition season it feels good to relax and enjoy a ride on the beach together with your horse. That’s what the 23-year-old DutchBelgian Siebe van Bekhoven did with his 10-year-old gelding WS Check My Pedigree [Wimpys Smoking Gun x Footworks Finetiming (Footworks Finest)], aka ‘Jackpot’.
It is not only the Italian and German younger generation that has themselves noticed worldwide by taking the lead in the 2024 NRHA Open- and Non Pro world rankings. Siebe and Jackpot achieved a remarkable good result as well. At the NRHA Non Pro world rankings the pair ended in 9th position in the Non Pro- and 10th position in the Intermediate Non Pro division. To achieve a notification in the NRHA Top Ten a horse (Open) or horse/rider combination (Non Pro) has to earn money at a minimum of 7 shows. In both the Non Pro- and Intermediate Non Pro division Siebe and Jackpot participated in exactly 7 shows, winning a pay cheque in each one of them.
Siebe started his reining adventure in 2017 in the NRHA youth division with Royal Dun Jac [HC Mister Dun Jac x WR Royal Tari], born in 2004 and bred in the Netherlands by Danielle van der Oort. In 2018 he purchased WS Check My Pedigree, born in 2015 and also bred in the Netherlands by Wessel Veld. In 2019 Siebe added the first $ 12,83 NRHA dollars to the record of the horse. The NRHA earnings to Jackpot’s name by now exceed the $ 25.000. Siebe himself has far beyond $ 26.000 in NRHA lifetime earnings to his name.
