23/01/2023 – In 2010 a Dutch ‘polder boy’ named Jimmy van der Hoeven crossed the ocean to the USA to learn more about the training of reining horses. Jimmy became a family member of Casey and Kathy Hinton of the Cedar Ridge Stallion Station in Whitesboro, Texas. He was given every opportunity to develop himself as a good trainer. One of the horses that Casey and Cathy provided to him and with which Jimmy has been most successful, is Guaranteed A Magnum [Magnum With A Dream]. In 2 years’ time Jimmy added over $ 282.000 in earnings to the stallion’s name. Highlights were the NRHA Derby L4 Open- and L3 Intermediate Open Champion titles in 2018 and the NRHA Derby L4 Open Champion title in 2019.
After 12 years Jimmy has found his roots in the USA, has established his own clientele and his own, independent enterprise would be the next step. And that’s a fact as from January 2023.
Van der Hoeven Reining Horses is located in Weatherford, Texas. For the time being under the roof of Wild Rose Ranch in Aledo, Texas. Aledo is the new polder of Texas, mining of it is well entrusted to Jimmy.
